Yes, that is a view from our balcony at the 2007 National Championship Tournament in St. Petersburg, Florida.  You could be there.

What are the requirements?

The UIC Mock Trial Team strongly encourages students from all disciplines, grade levels, and backgrounds to apply.  This makes for a strong team with several different ideas and diverse backgrounds.  Students with a background in public speaking (e.g. forensics, debate, Model UN, etc.), theatre, and an interest in the law are encouraged to try out however no previous experience is necessary.  Additionally, students will earn three hours of class credit in the Political Science Department.

How do I join?

Early each fall semester, interested students are invited to attend informational sessions where they may pick up an application and sign up for a personal interview.  Auditions are required and consist of either performing the opening statement from the previous year’s case or an alternate option to be discussed at informational sessions.  Sought-out applicants generally have a willingness to work hard, a passion to learn, and a desire to succeed.
